The secret to creating cabinets that look and act like custom cabinets is knowing custom cabinetry. Cheaper cabinets are made differently, but when we reface your cabinets, we make sure they have the look of high-quality cabinets. For instance, the cabinets that you buy at a home center have vertical seam lines between each box. They also typically have unsightly wide spaces between the doors and drawer fronts. Also, because box cabinets are made in limited sizes and in width increments of 3", they won’t fit your wall space precisely and you will have to use “filler” pieces to cover any gaps.

Custom cabinets, on the other hand are made to fit perfectly into a specific space. We take care to use high quality door and drawer fronts, furniture grade laminates and high quality hardware. Our use of 6-way hidden, adjustable hinges, for instance, allows for maximum door overlay on the cabinet. This means that instead of ugly exposed hinges and unsightly gaps between doors, your cabinets will have the more upscale “full overlay” look. When doors overlay the cabinets the maximum amount, the job looks more custom with higher perceived value, rather than the cheaper look you get with stock or modular cabinets.
